Sisters Kristen and Lindsey Archer have been partners their whole lives, so it makes sense that they would run a business together too. After spending years gaining experience in their chosen fields of graphic design and photography and video production, the pair launched ARCHd in 2014 as a small side hustle. Now ARCHd is Kristen and Lindsey’s full-time job, and every item in ARCHd’s range contains either a design by Lindsey, a photograph from Kristen, or both. The pair work from their home in their beloved home city, Memphis, Tennessee.
Kristen and Lindsey have refined and perfected their processes over the years as they’ve made more and more of their decorative home decor. Wooden items are cut, sanded, branded, painted, and stained before the sisters transfer their original images and designs to the front by hand. The paper is later rubbed away by hand, and the result is a totally unique product with a distressed look.
