In 2009 Andrea Kleinman-Parker was diagnosed with heart failure and idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy, which causes an enlarged heart. In 2018 she founded her candle company intending to help her give back to the heart health community – and what better name to give it than Big Heart Candle Company. Andrea runs her business with the support of her family and her dog – frequent social media star – Luka.
When you purchase candles from Big Heart Candle Company, you receive products that have been entirely handmade in Plano, Texas. Andrea hand mixes, pours, labels, wraps, and boxes every candle from her home studio. Each candle is made from a blend of coconut wax and other vegetable waxes, resulting in a chemical-free, pesticide-free, fertilizer-free, and carcinogen-free candle. The candles have wooden wicks that look great and produce a relaxing crackle as they burn.
